My room smells like oil paint.

Randomly felt like painting today. I technically still have exams on monday and tuesday, but I'm not going to worry. Even if I fail them, I'll still be on my way to OCAD come September.

I have a chunk of linoleum but no idea what to carve into it. What should I do what should I do??

I've recently come around to The Weakerthans. They're pretty great and they remind me of Troubled Hubble.

I heard what was a song inside the earth.

So I drew this Dangerous Summer-inspired piece for my pal Nick that I met on absolutepunk.net a few months ago. It's ink on a relatively lightweight watercolor paper.

Today was my very last day of highschool, so as a small grad present, I drew coffee zombified versions of a handful of my friends. They're each 8"x10" and were extremely fun to draw 8D

16 June 2010

Oh my gosh!

I just got my first real art print back from the printers today 8D I guess it technically doesn't really count and isn't that special due to the fact it's for a school project, but damn! It looks so friggin' cool!

The project was to take a preexisting comic book character and create a comic book cover that features a crossover (Marvel Team-Up style) with one of our classmate's original characters. I did a crossover with Scott Pilgrim and my friend Kathryn's character, The Sleepwalker. It was rendered 100% on photoshop with a Wacom tablet (:

So I briefly mentioned Thrice yesterday, but I MUST talk about Bad Veins a little bit because they were one of the openers for the show and they were surprisingly good. Their live performance was... weird, but captivating. And recorded they're a lot less weird, but still a little eccentric. It's just really fun music and you can check it out at www.myspace.com/badveins

Project 365: Week 3 update

Woo. Crazy week, crazy week. I barely got some of these shots in. I just got back from seeing Thrice tonight. I highly recommend seeing them live. They're basically flawless. (:
