Washington DC

I took my handy dandy Canon Rebel to DC with me and got a couple shots from my trip. Woo!

Orchids at the National Botanical Garden. It smelled amazing in there.

I was in DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival... so how could I NOT take this shot? haha

There was a Lichtenstein statue just chillin' in front of this building. SO COOL.

I'm not sure who the artist was, but this was a crazy cool installation at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art.

Alexander Calder is one of my favorite artists. I was so blown away by this sculpture's presence.

Last semester I did a seminar on Pop Art and it's always crazy when you see a painting you studied using photographs in real life. It's so much more amazing to see in person. The textures/3D qualities do NOT translate.

That's all I took on my rebel because I shot a lot of photographs of the architecture/landmarks with various analog cameras. I'll be back with those when I get around to developing all my film.

xoxo
